Community Outreach

The Basque Cultural Center is a proud member of the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Annually, we support their Higher Education Scholarship and provide a local deserving graduating high school senior with a $1,000 college scholarship in April.
Also, we participate in the Taste of South San Francisco event in November and provide food for 400 attendees as well as donate raffle prizes.
After being reviewed on KQED’s Check, Please! Bay Area, we continue to participate in their annual Taste and Sip Event for their sponsors and provide food for over 800 attendees. Recently, we were invited to help the host Leslie Sbrocco with the grand opening of the Total Wine & More Store in Daly City, where she paired wine with our food offerings.
At the restaurant, we are proud to host the South San Francisco Kiwanis luncheon every Tuesday and South San Francisco Rotary luncheon every Thursday. Every month, we also have the South San Francisco Soroptomist luncheon meetings.
The community of South San Francisco has been very generous with us and we enjoy supporting local churches, schools and the Boys and Girls Club. We also support the South San Francisco Sister Cities program and are honored that the City of South San Francisco recognized the very picturesque City of St. Jean Pied de Port in the Basque Region of France as a sister city.
